FINESSE BOATS DORSET 70FT TRAD ESTIMATED AT UP TO £250,000
THE LONGER OF the two boats on show by Finesse is based on a fantastic Cowper shell by Jonathan Wilson.
There’s plenty to enjoy from the majestic bow and protruding handrails, to the flat roof, the rivets and detailing.
It’s been made to look as though there’s a traditional engine inside, with side doors where the engine room would be, along with a pigeon box and a riveted panel in the roof. There isn’t a vintage engine though, because technically this boat is very modern and very high spec.
The engine is a Beta 50 in a cocoon for quietness and there’s an Onan generator in the engine hole, too. Rather than an instrument panel, there’s a screen on which you can log-in that shows dials and gauges, as well as all sorts of other information. There’s a Mastervolt 3.5kW inverter/charger.
The fit-out is typically stylish and luxurious. The galley is at the rear with grey units and Corian worktops, while the dinette features a table that goes up and down electrically. The saloon is open plan, with a mid-cabin ahead of it. The shower room has smart tiles and a floating basin unit. The main cabin is at the bow.
Finesse say 70ft boats start at £180,000, but this one is built to such a high standard and spec it must have cost considerably more.
A fantastic shell with a fit-out to match, and lots of high tech kit.
