Canal Boat - - Liveaboard -

NOTTINGHAM BOAT CO has been bringing Jupiter barges to Crick for a few years now, but each year the product has developed further. That’s in no small part due to investment by the company in its production facilities at Redhill Marina, which include a new paint shop.

This is a really big boat, and it’s position on land at the show makes you realise just how big it is. The bow looks exceptionally imposing and the large square stern is equally as impressive. Inside, there’s very significant living space. There’s a small room at the stern, before you even get to the galley which has Neff appliances and ceramic work surfaces. The saloon is huge, and has a solid fuel stove and electrically opening roof hatches. There are two bedrooms. The smaller one has a bed and a desk, while the larger one, at the bow has an ottoman bed that lifts up to provide walk-in storage. There are also massive wardrobes. Between the bedrooms there’s a shower room, which has a vast shower and a Vetus loo.

The engine is a Vetus VH4.80, and there’s a powerful Vetus bow thruster. There’s an anchor windlass, too. There are five 220Ah batteries and two 3kW inverters.

The Jupiter does come in smaller sizes, and with less kit on board, so prices start at around £140,000 excl VAT.
