Canal Boat - - Liveaboard -

YOU CAN SEE why this boat is called the Abode – there must be flats in shiny new London developments that are smaller than this boat. The galley is at the stern and features an island unit hosing the hob, with a cylindrical stainless steel extractor fan above. This is clearly the more upmarket of New and Used widebeam boats, as it has appliances by Smeg, a built in coffee machine, and a wine cooler.

The saloon is huge, and has a massive TV unit and a stove. There are two bedrooms. The smaller has a double bed, a dressing table and wardrobes. Next along the corridor comes the bathroom, which not only has a huge rectangular shower but a Jacuzzi bath as well. The main cabin is at the bow, and has a bed set across the boat with the now obligatory unit at the foot containing a to which rises electrically. This room is rather stylish, as it’s wallpapered with an attractive blue design. Needless to say, there are massive wardrobes and drawers.

Should you move the boat (and it’s likely that many owners won’t) there’s a Canaline 70 engine and a Vetus 95 kgf bow thruster. There are four 110Ah domestic batteries and a 2.5kW Sterling inverter.
