MEGASTAR BOATS UNNAMED 57FT SEMI-CRUISER
YORKSHIRE BASED MegAStar Boats were showing a value 57ft reverse layout semi-cruiser, which has lockers either side of the stern deck. It’s based on a Polish-built shell by Viking Canal Boats, which is possibly the weakest part of the whole package.
Inside the fit-out uses oak, with nice solid oak floors. All the windows are double glazed. The rear galley has quartz counter tops; an L-shape dinette comes next, which converts into a guest bed. The saloon is in the middle of the boat and has a solid fuel stove. The shower room is an off-corridor design, which makes it a bit smaller than a walk-through, but means there’s always a route through the boat. It has a square shower cubicle and a Thetford cassette loo. The cabin is at the bow.
The technical specification uses big name products. The engine is a Beta 43, and there’s a Lewmar bow thruster. There are four 110Ah domestic batteries, a Victron 3kW inverter, and solar panels to help with charging.
