PERHAPS ONE FOR the enthusiast, Grinstead is a replica of a British Waterways’ work-boat of the 1970s, with a modern take on the traditional back-cabin, a long cargo hold under black fitted covers and powered by a Beta 25hp diesel.

The fit-out is in waxed ash and furniture is solid wood. Cooking and space heating is from an Epping solid-fuel range and two banquettes can provide a dinette or two bunks. The washroom has shower cubicle, wall basin and cassette toilet.

The timber-floored hold under multi-zippered covers supported by sturdy, demountable steel framing makes Grinstead ideal for the enthusiast or canal trader.
