Car Battery Tester
This new handheld tester (part number 6803) is a convenient device to quickly and accurately measure cold cranking amps (CCA) capability and battery health, as well as assisting in pinpointing common faults in starting and charging systems. It can be used with all types of batteries, including lead acid, AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) flat plate, AGM spiral wound, GEL and EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery), and can also detect bad cells.
The initial test analyses battery health status to calculate actual cold cranking capability and advises whether to charge or replace the battery. The cranking test identifies faults in the starting circuit, including the starter motor, by measuring increases in starting load torque. Then the charging test analyses the charging system, determining if output of the generator or alternator is to normal parameters, and detects under or overcharging. The device can print out results via your PC, laptop or the Laser 6804 Thermal Printer. And it’s reverse polarity protected, so will not damage the device, the battery or the vehicle.
