Car Mechanics (UK) - - Mot Changes -

A common problem with older vehicles is the supply of spare parts and the fact that many of them have become obsolete. The MOT exemption rules have catered for this problem by stating alternative parts can be fitted “to preserve a vehicle, which in all cases must be when original type parts are no longer reasonably available.” Examples include fitting an alternative carburettor because parts to service the original carburettor are unavailable.
