▴ Dr Chris­tine Fuchs, vice pres­i­dent global re­search & devel­op­ment for Fuchs Lu­bri­cants, joined ex­ec­u­tive man­ager Paul Lit­t­ley to cut the rib­bon for the com­pany’s newly-re­fur­bished R&D Tech­ni­cal Cen­tre at Han­ley. The depart­ment is part of a multi-mil­lion-pound in­vest­ment in tech­nol­ogy.

▶ The Parts Al­liance has spent the last 18 months de­vel­op­ing the Driv­etec range, en­hanc­ing qual­ity and up­dat­ing pack­ag­ing across all prod­uct cat­e­gories, in­clud­ing brak­ing, steer­ing and sus­pen­sion, wheel bear­ings, wiper blades and bat­ter­ies. The lat­est de­vel­op­ments of Driv­etec in­clude a move to coated brake discs, tra­di­tion­ally as­so­ci­ated with more ex­pen­sive brands.

▴ Tyre man­u­fac­turer

Apollo has launched a brand-new win­ter tyre, the Apollo As­pire XP Win­ter. This new ad­di­tion brings the com­pany’s win­ter range up to 60 prod­ucts, en­sur­ing an op­ti­mal cov­er­age of most pop­u­lar sizes. The As­pire XP will soon be avail­able in 23 sizes and is de­signed to pro­vide su­perb snow han­dling and per­for­mance on wet sur­faces, en­sur­ing peak safety dur­ing the cold sea­son.
