Has anyone else found that aerosol cans left in sheds on galvanised shelves/chipboard will leak their contents? Is this something affecting cans from particular manufacturers, as other aerosols have not suffered the same fate? Jay Evans
I have come across this on tins which have been sitting on metal shelves. I suspect the problem is due to condensation becoming trapped in the concave base of the tin, promoting corrosion which weakens the seams and allows the contents to leak out. It would be interesting to hear from readers if they have experienced similar problems and which tins were most affected.
The reader's tins that have caused problems while sitting on a shelf.
