COMBINED DISC/DRUM

 Some vehicles have a disc set-up at the rear for the footbrake, but a separate set of handbrake shoes inside a drum. The drum is part of the brake disc so, to be able to service the handbrake shoes, the brake disc caliper and carrier need to be removed, followed by the brake disc with the brake drum in the centre of it. The steps for removing the disc/drum are similar to our procedures for removing a brake drum, and the work involved in servicing the handbrake shoes is also the same.
