Aston Martin Vantage
Why do they stick with that old badge?
The Vantage name has been used on and o since 1951, but the 2005-on V8 has been key to Aston’s rise to its current rude health – it’s the best seller in its 105-year history.
One car for road and track use – really? Yes, up to a point. It’s more comfortable than irst impressions might have you believe, and won’t wake the neighbours when you start it. But the DB11 is more reined.
Not sure the spec’s quite right for me…
If you’d rather not have nuclear waste paint and contrasting carbonibre, much more subtle hues are available, and there’s a huge choice of cabin trims too.
Nice. Now give me more!
A manual gearbox option is coming, and the V8 has plenty more to give; Mercedes has already squeezed over 600bhp from it. And we’re told Aston’s own twin-turbo V12 could it.
