CAR (UK) - - Aston Vantage Vs 911 Gts -

The Vantage name has been used on and o’ since 1951, but the 2005-on V8 has been key to Aston’s rise to its current rude health – it’s the best seller in its 105-year history.

One car for road and track use – really? Yes, up to a point. It’s more comfortable than Œirst impressions might have you believe, and won’t wake the neighbours when you start it. But the DB11 is more reŒined.

A manual gearbox option is coming, and the V8 has plenty more to give; Mercedes has already squeezed over 600bhp from it. And we’re told Aston’s own twin-turbo V12 could Œit.
