Cardmaking and Papercraft - - 6 Ways With… Pencil Erasers -

Transform one of your favourite photos into a Pop Art style card using this fun technique! Enlarge a photo, then trace the outline. (Find a template for this image on p87.) Stamp rows of dots across the different areas using fun colours. The rows should be horizontal and offset so that the dots sit close together. You can either mask the shapes using another printout or use pieces of paper to mask the area you’re stamping. Go over pencil lines with a black marker, add sentiment and attach to base. Who would have thought that pencil erasers could be so much fun? But be warned – this miniature stamping technique can be seriously addictive! You can use the plain eraser to make dots and spots, or cut a simple or more intricate design into the rubber. Draw the design first with a pencil and take care when cutting so that the craft knife doesn’t slip. Cut away about 2mm down so that the shape stands out for stamping but also so that you can see where to place the image. Shapes can be used in all sorts of way, so do experiment and use your imagination!
