This month Anne Richard­son has cap­tured grace and el­e­gance in her de­signs us­ing the Beau­ti­ful You stamp set from Stampin’ Up! and gor­geous Dress Shoppe pa­pers from Nitwit Col­lec­tions. Use her sketch and in­spi­ra­tion to cre­ate your own stun­ning cards with a touch of chic style.

1 Brighter days

Fol­low the sketch ex­actly. Cover a 140mm square white base card with flo­ral pat­terned pa­per. At­tach a 125mm square of con­trast­ing pa­per. Layer a 140x55mm piece of flo­ral pat­terned pa­per onto a 140x60mm piece of dotty pa­per. Stamp and watercolour your im­age. Die-cut with an 85mm scal­loped cir­cle die, and layer onto a 95mm cir­cle of flo­ral pat­terned pa­per. At­tach to base cen­trally, us­ing sticky fix­ers. Stamp a sen­ti­ment and trim. Layer onto a piece of pat­terned pa­per, at­tach­ing at a slight an­gle. Add to base us­ing sticky fix­ers. Die-cut or punch flowers from pat­terned pa­per, and add pearls to fin­ish.

2 Happy birth­day

Ro­tate the sketch 90 de­grees and move the sen­ti­ment. Cover a 140mm square white base card with pat­terned pa­per. At­tach a 125mm square of con­trast­ing pa­per. Layer a 55x140mm piece of pat­terned pa­per onto a 60x140mm piece of con­trast­ing pat­terned pa­per. Stamp and watercolour your im­age, adding a pat­tern to the dress by over-stamp­ing with the brush stroke stamp. Die-cut with an 85mm scal­loped cir­cle die, and layer onto a 95mm cir­cle of pat­terned pa­per. At­tach to base cen­trally us­ing sticky fix­ers. Stamp the brush stroke in coloured ink, and add a sen­ti­ment on top. Trim and layer onto a piece of pat­terned pa­per, at­tach­ing at a slight an­gle. Die-cut or punch flowers from pat­terned pa­per, and add pearls to fin­ish.

3 Live, love, laugh

Ad­just the sketch as shown. Cover a 140mm square white base card with flo­ral pat­terned pa­per. At­tach a 125mm square of con­trast­ing pa­per. Layer a 140x55mm piece of dotty pat­terned pa­per onto a 140x90mm piece of pat­terned flo­ral pa­per with a punched or die-cut edge. Stamp and watercolour your im­age. Die-cut with an 85mm scal­loped cir­cle die, and layer onto a 95mm cir­cle of dotty pat­terned pa­per. At­tach to base cen­trally us­ing sticky fix­ers. Stamp a sen­ti­ment and trim. Layer onto a piece of pat­terned pa­per, at­tach­ing at a slight an­gle. Add to base us­ing sticky fix­ers. Die-cut or punch flowers from pat­terned pa­per, and add pearls to fin­ish.
