Give your sta­tionery a strik­ing new look with this mod­ern take on the clas­sic pen­cil case

1 Cut 55mm from the top of a kitchen pa­per tube to cre­ate the base and lid of the pen­cil case. Mark 10mm from bot­tom of the base, cut tabs all the way around and fold in. At­tach a cir­cle of card to the bot­tom. Re­peat for the lid. 2 Cover the tube with a 170mm wide piece of pat­terned pa­per. Cut tabs 15mm from the top and bot­tom, fold in and glue. Cut a 52mm cir­cle of pat­terned pa­per and at­tach to bot­tom. Re­peat to cover the lid. Insert a rolled up piece of pat­terned pa­per 150mm wide, and 10mm taller than the tube, into the tube and glue in place. 3 At­tach 10mm pat­terned pa­per strips around the top of the tube and lid. Pierce holes in the lid and add a rib­bon; se­cure with glue. Add sticker to top of lid. Add a split ring and chain to heart sticker and at­tach to pen­cil case, to fin­ish.
