Fol­low th­ese handy hints from Clare to help you cre­ate your fes­tive cards

If you’re new to quilling, start with the wreath card. All the shapes are sim­ple to make and it’s the most ba­sic de­sign to start with.

Keep some baby wipes nearby and use them to clean the glue from your hands and tools.

Us­ing nee­dle nose tweez­ers to po­si­tion the pieces will make the process a lot eas­ier as it’s easy to bump against pieces al­ready po­si­tioned, which can be frus­trat­ing.

Put a small amount of tacky glue onto a piece of scrap card and dip the tooth­pick into the glue, rather than putting it on the tooth­pick straight from the bot­tle.

You might find it eas­ier to make all the quilled shapes be­fore start­ing to as­sem­ble them on your card.

Take your time mak­ing the fox de­sign. There are a lot of small el­e­ments but all the shapes are fairly easy to make. You will soon see it com­ing to­gether.
