Clare’s hints & tips
Follow these handy hints from Clare to help you create your festive cards
If you’re new to quilling, start with the wreath card. All the shapes are simple to make and it’s the most basic design to start with.
Keep some baby wipes nearby and use them to clean the glue from your hands and tools.
Using needle nose tweezers to position the pieces will make the process a lot easier as it’s easy to bump against pieces already positioned, which can be frustrating.
Put a small amount of tacky glue onto a piece of scrap card and dip the toothpick into the glue, rather than putting it on the toothpick straight from the bottle.
You might find it easier to make all the quilled shapes before starting to assemble them on your card.
Take your time making the fox design. There are a lot of small elements but all the shapes are fairly easy to make. You will soon see it coming together.
