“I love hearing your crafting stories and seeing your fab cards, so please write in and share them with me!”
I have to thank you for such a wonderful magazine! I was so thrilled the moment I received my copy of issue 181, that I shared it with some friends who love making cards almost as much as I do. They too have subscribed to your magazine and you now have a devoted group of followers from Franklin, North Carolina. What started as a means of therapy after a car accident has turned into a full-fledged hobby. I am hooked! Here is a picture of one of the many cards I’ve made inspired by your fabulous publication. I made this card by following the smack down technique project by Simonne Clay. Thank you so much for the many rewarding hours of proud production! Susan Disner, North Carolina Sarah says: I’m so glad that you are continually inspired by the magazine and that you often try the new techniques within. And what a wonderful card you’ve made too. Thank you for sharing!
Number one fan
I felt I just had to write in to tell you how issue 180 has turned out to be quite inspirational for me (without me realising it!). I only make cards for family, friends and special occasions these days. If I need inspiration I flick through my back issues, which I keep in my workroom. So, it was on my latest browse that I realised I have already been inspired by four designs in issue 180. I made two versions of the telescope cards for Easter, a dress card, the pom-pom gumball machine, and the accordion card, too. I created the pictured card for my cousin’s upcoming golden wedding anniversary and included some iris folding and handmade flowers, too. I hope you like my cards and thank you so much for all the wonderful inspiration. Janice Powell, Rochdale
Sarah says: It’s always fantastic seeing our projects being made and appreciated by our readers, but it is really lovely to hear that you’ve made four papercrafts from just one issue. I really love your elegant take on the accordion box, too, Janice.
Quick, get crafting!
I was so excited when my copy of
Cardmaking & Papercraft arrived this morning and I saw the free Beautiful day gift. I rushed upstairs to make this card immediately as I just couldn’t resist. I hope you like it! Linda Wareham, Bedfordshire
Sarah says: I love the simple look you’ve gone for, Linda. The bright red balloon and pretty red flowers stand out beautifully, too. Thank you for sharing this with us!
A happy hobby
I really enjoyed making this card using the free gift from issue 183. I raised the wheels, basket, flowers and bunting all using sticky fixers, which gave the card a lovely 3D effect. It was very enjoyable and relaxing to make, and there was some great inspiration in the magazine too! I hope you like it. Christine Fox, via email
Sarah says: What a beautifully colourful card. I love the bright bunting and stunning bouquet of vibrant flowers too. Well done!
I like to ride my bicycle
I’ve just made a lovely card with the bicycle stamp set from issue 183, so I thought I would share it with you and your crafty readers. I masked the bicycle frame to stamp the wheels and also masked the basket to stamp the flowers and little dog. I am very pleased with the way it turned out! This is a very versatile stamp set and can be used for so many occasions. I always look forward to my subscriber copy dropping through my letter box each month. Thank you to you for providing some great ideas! Julie Avery, Rugby
Sarah says: What a beautiful make for summer! I love the sunny and bright colour palette and pretty blue bike, too. A fabulous make, Julie.
My June issue of Cardmaking
& Papercraft arrived this morning with the lovely summery bicycle stamp set. It’s a beautiful sunny day and I’ve been sat in the garden trying out the shape stamping technique with the little stamps from the free set. I’m very pleased with my first attempt. I can’t wait to have a go with the rest of the set next. Thanks for a lovely magazine! Michelle Dawson, via email
Sarah says: It’s really lovely to see two aspects of the magazine come together so perfectly. It shows the versatility of the free gift and our projects! I really like the pretty pink flowers and butterflies you’ve used to create the heart shape, and the colour palette complements the sweet purple gingham backing paper beautifully, too. A stunning make for summer, Michelle.
A ray of sunshine!
I absolutely loved the free Beautiful day gift that came with issue 183 of Cardmaking
& Papercraft magazine. As a cardmaking enthusiast, I always find your magazine enjoyable and inspiring. The free gift with issue 183 really helped to break the clouds and bring out the sunshine in the day with the beautiful floral papers and gorgeous stamps. I particularly love the bunting stamp as this is always great for adding a finishing touch to any card. Here are some of the cards I have made so far using the set. My next project is to create a cute little box frame scene using these freebies. Thank you so much and I am already looking forward to what the next issue has to offer! Becky Ferner, via email

I love Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine and I always look forward to seeing and trying the new ideas inside. I was really inspired by the free papers in issue 181 and I couldn’t resist making a collection of cards. My son convinced me to send in a photo as he thought they were really cool! I loved being creative with the papers. Now to use the set in the latest issue! Thanks for your great magazine. Kat Lomax, via email
