Do you have any ideas for a Christmas postbox that I could make with my daughter, to go with her letter to Santa Claus?

Cardmaking and Papercraft - - Crafter’s Q&a - Larissa Davidson, Totnes

Sarah says: What a lovely idea, Larissa – your daughter is going to love doing this with you! I’ve created a postbox that’s three dimensional, but the beauty of it is that it can be folded flat to fit in an envelope if required. Start with a 170x220mm piece of red card for the back panel and score down the long side at 10, 60, 160 and 210mm. Fold into a box shape and decorate with festive papers. Trim a 100x220mm piece of red card for the front, cut out a slot, then attach to the back panel to create the 3D postbox. Add a piece of shaped white card to the top to create the dome and attach with sticky fixers. Die-cut an envelope from cream card using the XCut A5 Envelope Die Set, pop your daughter’s letter to Santa inside, then attach to the postbox with a length of baker’s twine. I’ve then used Christmas Village by Helz Cuppleditch Glitter Stickers and motifs from the 12x12 Paper Pack to decorate the box.

Kids will love this postbox!
