Attacker’s leg broken in fall

Carmarthen Journal - - News -

A MAN hanging half way through the firstfloor window of a bathroom assaulted the homeowner by punching and throwing a plant pot at him.

David Andrew Young, of Florence Road, Ammanford, pleaded guilty to assault by beating.

He was half inside the open window at the Ammanford house when he lashed out.

He then fell from the flat roof he was on, breaking a leg, which he told a court had caused him a “life-changing injury”.

Young had gone to the house on July 10, over concerns he had about the welfare of someone at the property and had attempted to get in via the bathroom window, having climbed onto a flat roof.

The case was adjourned until Thursday, November 15 for pre-sentence reports, and Young was released on bail.
