Police search for vehicle occupants

Carmarthen Journal - - News -

POLICE are searching for the occupants of a car that was found in a ditch on Sunday with both airbags deployed.

The car was spotted at the side of a rural road in Carmarthenshire at around 6.45am on Sunday.

It had been travelling on the B4310 between the villages of Nantgaredig and Brechfa, to the north of Carmarthen, when it left the road.

When police officers arrived at the scene, they found nobody inside, but both front airbags had been deployed.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said they were “concerned for the welfare of occupants”, and asked for anyone with information regarding the crash to contact them by calling 101.

The B4310 was closed in both directions for around six hours as a recovery vehicle, which had been called to the scene to recover the car from the ditch, broke down.
