Your views on: former AM sentenced, tributes to burns victim and warning to dog owners
Parents are unhappy that the former Mid and West Wales AM Simon Thomas, who has been sentenced for possession of indecent images, lives within yards of where their children go to school. Here’s what you said . .. HAYDN JONES An absolute disgrace that this was ‘dealt with’ by a lower court without, apparently, an opportunity for the ‘verdict’ to be reviewed. Deafening silence from Plaid in any language. WINIFRED LEWIS Surely this was far too serious a matter to have been dealt with at a mere magistrates’ court. The court should have passed it on to a higher court.
RHIAN GHOORAH To say he got away with it lightly would be an understatement to say the least. A slap on the wrist is just not good enough, how will this act as a deterrent to warn off other offenders?
A woman who died after suffering serious burns at chip shop named locally as Mavis Bran. You said . . . CATRIN PHILLIPS Rest in peace Mavis. She did my wedding. Bless. BARBARA THOMAS Such sad news, RIP Mavis. NICOLA MORRIS RIP Mavis. What a lovely, hardworking lady. Very sad.
We published horrific images of savaged sheep police want dog owners to be shocked by. Here’s what you thought ...
ROBYN ELIZABETH Of course it’s irresponsible dog owners! It shows a complete lack of love and care for your animal! Part of living in a rural area is teaching your dog how to behave around livestock. If you’re not willing to train your dog you shouldn’t have one!
RICHARD COMPTON The sort of dog owners that allow this sort of thing will probably think it’s either funny or the sheep’s fault for being there.
ANNIE PARSONS The penalty needs to be tougher on the owner. We have had several attacks on our sheep.
ROSEMARY ONSTWEDDER Just keep your dog on the lead. I do, always. Mine is only off lead at home.
