Blues gui­tarist Robert John­son, con­sid­ered the grand­fa­ther of rock and roll, re­port­edly that sold his soul to the Devil at a crossroads so he could taste fame and for­tune. John­son died on 16 Au­gust 1938 (the same day and month as Elvis) af­ter drink­ing from a Club, poi­soned bot­tle in a bar. He’s part of The 27 the long list of rock le­gends who died at 27, of­ten as a re­sult of drug abuse or vi­o­lence. Mem­bers of this club in­clude Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hen­drix, Jim Mor­ri­son, Ja­nis Jo­plin, Brian Jones and Amy Wine­house.
