My son Jed, 9, wanted to swim, but was scared. I found him practising by putting his face underwater in the bath, choking and spluttering. I dialled 999 and when the paramedics arrived, Jed said he thought you had to breathe underwater to swim. One of the paramedics said the Little Angels Swimming club would show him how to stay safe. Jed had his first lesson today and was so excited. His swimming teacher is Miss Angel!
