Positive thinking Positive outlook: Think ahead
If you’re physically hurting, it’s too easy to dwell on the limitations that your condition causes. Yet it’s better for your happiness and mental health to focus on what you can do. Retrain your mind to concentrate on the opportunities that lie ahead, taking a positive look at the future. Don’t rule out anything. For some, keeping a ‘gratitude’ journal is helpful – recording good things in life you appreciate. You may also find that thinking deeply about opportunities life still has for you will help you focus less on the pain.
