Mouth cancer

Q My sister won’t perform oral sex on her boyfriend, as she’s read that it can cause mouth cancer. Jodie, 24

AHPV virus is passed sexually – it increases the risk of cancer of your cervix and might raise chances of mouth cancer if caught through oral sex.

The risk is small, but a condom gives protection.

Avoid smoking and drinking spirits as they also increase the risk.
