Weddings during the festive period remain popular, but, according to the Office for National Statistics, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve are more popular than Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The latest figures available (1995-2013) show the average number of Christmas Day weddings was just five a year during that period. This makes it the least popular day of the year to get married.
