The De Vere Cranage Estate Hall Hotel in Holmes Chapel was the setting for a gala dinner to raise funds for the GCS Project, a charity which researches a rare form of cancer. The occasion was organised in memory of Cath Lascelles who died from the disease last year. Catherine’s husband, Peter Lascelles, and the family were delighted by the success of the night, which raised nearly £20,000.

Guests at the black tie event included representatives from several local businesses including Pecks Restaurant, Mitten Clarke Accountants and Reliance Medical. Many firms supported the event by donating prizes. The Dune company donated a table and generous prizes. After dinner, the party continued with performances from a live band and dancing into the early hours.
