Seventeen teams of golfers took part in a charity golf day for chartered accountancy firm Langricks at Shrigley Hall in Macclesfield and raised over £3300 to help financial education for children.

Langricks has made an ongoing commitment to Debtaware – the specialist education arm of the national Debt Advice Foundation – to raise funds to extend a unique ‘Money Skills for Life’ programme to primary schools in Cheshire.

Brian Souter, education manager at Debtaware, said: ‘We are a small charity tackling big issues so we are hugely grateful for Langricks and their support.’

Raffle prizes on the night included a Liverpool shirt signed by Steven Gerard, match tickets to Huddersfield Town FC and a basket of Italian delicacies from Casa Italia in Wilmslow.
