I remember the first time I saw a Bonneville T120 – it was in the late ’60s and I was 14. I used to watch the lads on their café racers at the Buttery bar in Norwich, completely in awe of them and their bikes – especially the Bonnie T120, promising myself one day I’d own one. Fifty years on, I had owned numerous different bikes, but never a Bonneville T120 – until now. A friend of mine, one of the old rockers who frequently visited the Buttery bar of my teens, bought this 1970 T120 to add to his vast collection of classic BSAS 18 months ago. It stood in his conservatory and every time I visited him I would always ask him to sell it to me – and the answer would always be no… until a month ago.

So here it is at last – I have the Triumph Bonneville T120R that I’ve dreamed of owning for so many years.
