Our sister title MCN’S London bash gets bigger and better every year. This year, Classic Bike will be showcasing the 10 finalists in our Barn Find of the Year competition, sponsored by Godin Sporting Cars and Motorcycle and Coys Auctions, and drumming up yet more votes from show visitors before announcing the winner on Sunday afternoon. Someone’s going to walk away from Excel with 1000 guineas to put towards bringing their barn find back to life – and your vote could make the difference (see page 31).
Elsewhere, there’ll be a host of classic traders and an all-new centrepiece for the live action area, the Michelin Thunderdrome. Inspired by a 1900s era board track, the oval – with its 45° banking – hosts regular racing throughout the show, with former World Superbike stars Ruben Xaus, Chris Walker and Neil Hodgson among the stars taking part.
Don’t forget the Coys auction on Saturday 17thm either. Whether you’re in the market for a classic or you just fancy checking out the auction scene, the action in the sale room is always addictive. You can also catch up with TT legend John Mcguinness pulling pints in the John Mcguinness bar while sharing a few tales from his road racing career. Then catch up with the latest retro, café racer and custom builds on the special display hosted by our sister magazine Built.
There’s also a ride out to the show from the Ace Cafe on the Sunday at 9.30am. mcnmotorcycleshow.com
