1978 MAGNI MV 861cc
Arturo Magni began his career in Gilera’s racing department back in 1947. He moved to MV Agusta’s new race shop in 1950 and oversaw more than 3000 race wins for the Gallarate concern. When MV quit racing, Magni set up on his own – with the blessing of MV – to produce special, re-engineered Mv-based machines drawing on his racing experience. In the ’80s, he diversified into reworking Honda, BMW and Moto Guzzibased machines, but it is his Mv-based models that remain the most sought after.
Registered in Germany, this bike comes with all the trademark features of a Magnimodified MV. There’s a Magni frame, chain drive conversion and 861cc big-bore kit for the MV Agusta four-cylinder engine, Ceriani forks and twin Fontana twin-leading-shoe brake at the front.
Described as being in great condition, its estimate is £60,000-80,000.
