East Coast Classic, Scarborough, North Yorkshire

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - News Analysis -

This celebration of the city’s contribution to motoring and motorsport already uses closed roads for motoring demonstrations. However, closed-road racing would enable a

greater degree of demonstration for sports and performance vehicles. Set on the street circuit of Oliver’s Mount in the hills overlooking Scarborough, the East Coast Classic has no competitive element and speeds are monitored. Use of the Deregulation Bill would bring historic motorsport back to the north of England.
