19 Mercedes-Benz 230/250/280SL
The ‘Pagoda’ SL’s appeal goes well beyond the classic fraternity to the
new money filtering into the scene. As a ‘must-have’ accessory for the metropolitan hipster, it makes sense, but long-term Pagoda lovers
appreciated their reliability, sturdiness and build quality long before many of those wanting one today were born. Prices spiralled upwards dramatically in 2014, with dealers dishing out strong money before adding their own mark-up, so for those on a budget it’s a case of saving up more or buying one in not quite so good order. Spares are widely available but can be eye-wateringly expensive.
