Are YOU ready for Drive-It Day?
VARIOUS LOCATIONS ACROSS THE UK, 24 APRIL
The Federation of British Historic Vehicles Clubs (FBHVC) is asking members to let the organisation know their plans for Drive-It Day. It hopes to beat last year’s record turnout of 250,000 classics on the roads on Sunday, 24 April.
The British Motor Museum, Beaulieu and Bicester Heritage have all confirmed they will be holding events to support the nationwide initiative. Clubs will also be able to apply for special Drive-It Day plaques so that classic owners can show their support on the day.
‘A truly eclectic collection of vehicles takes part, not only historic cars but buses, motorcycles, trucks, military or agricultural vehicles, petrol, diesel and even steam and electric powered vehicles,’ says Drive-It Day coordinator Ken Coad. ‘The events are as varied as the vehicles taking part and include drive outs, rallies, and meetings at local beauty spots or historic sites,’ he adds.
If you have a Drive-It Day event planned, get in touch with us and we’ll add it to our events diary (page 74), and pass on your details to the FBHVC.
