1957 Humber Hawk estate

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Auction News -

The Humber Hawk (and its posher, better-equipped Snipe and Super Snipe siblings) had a slightly Stateside air, but still pleased the British establishment buyer not tempted by a Rover 3.0-litre saloon or coupé. However, lack of a Rover estate played right into Humber’s hands, with many ending up at country piles, where their split tailgates were ideal for shooting party refreshments.

Charterhouse’s ‘longroof’ Hawk is said to be a former London to Cape Town endurance rally contender, so it has stamina and ruggedness. Sure to be welcome at any event, there should be plenty of bidding for this old campaigner.
