1955 Austin A90 Westminster
When it comes to Westminsters, it’s the later, big A110 Farina that many people usually think of. But its A90 predecessor was not only handsome and wellappointed, it could be pretty rapid, too, as shown in archive footage of British saloon car racing. The A90 was good on rallies, too, with its comfortable interior accommodating a crew of three – and their duffel coats – and it could pick up its skirts and run as well as any Ford Zephyr or Zodiac MkII. Charterhouse’s pleasingly understated example, in black and sporting a pair of spotlights, has a very conservative estimate.
