1973 ROLLS-ROYCE SILVER SHADOW YOURS FOR £18,950
We reckon it’d be well worth adding a bit extra
to the budget for a weekend in Belgium to snap this one up. It’s clearly had lots spent on it and the seller’s willing to talk prices, so there’s definitely potential for cruising back to Blighty in
a bit of a muscle car bargain. While increased values have pushed the faster, more
desirable TR5 out of this price range you can still pick up TR4s for our windfall budget. This one’s got
plenty of good signs – including being an righthand-drive car rather than a left-hooker imported from the States – and it’s in very good condition. Our very own David Brown has already vowed to buy a Karmann Ghia if he ever gets £20k. This one would more than do the trick as it’s in good condition and has been treated to new tyres. You could use the change you’ve got left – if you want
originality – to respray it in its factory colour. Yes, you can buy Silver Shadows for rather less than our £20k budget but chances are they’ll be needing a bit of remedial work. This particular car looks to have had all the hard work already done and it’s the more sought-after Shadow I model, so it’s well worth having a closer look.
