1997 Ford Scorpio Ultima 24v

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Auction News -

Rarely seen these days, and still seriously underestimated, the 24v Cosworth engined Scorpio offered everthing the late-‘90s high-flyer wanted – other than badge kudos. That was their loss – the fifinal Scorpio incarnation was a cracking piece of machinery, with typically good engine, gearbox and, unsurpringly, first-rate handling too. Here was what would surely be one of THE very best in the UK – 60,000 miles from new, £10,000 spent on it since 2011, and in superb order. The paint was almost flawless, the body likewise, and the interior seemed almost as new, while the alloys were scuff-free. Offered without reserve, some jokers might have imagined it stalling at 1500 quid, but the £4000 paid was right for a car as good as this both in terms of what it was, but its condition too.
