1956 Studebaker Champion-President
While plenty of nostalgia freaks think only Chevrolets and Cadillacs symbolise 1950s America, this intriguing 1956 Studebaker shows that philosophy is far from the truth. The latter days of Studebaker were troubled, with the smaller manufacturers including Rambler and Kaiser all facing the might of the ‘Big Three’. Sold new to South Africa (as a result being right-hand drive), it was imported to Britain in 1989. A bare metal re-paint was carried out in 2012, while the interior has survived well and is mainly original. Defifinitely worth a closer look.
