There were fewer lots than in other sales, but the bar was set high

After a highly successful 2015 SWVA got 2016’s calendar firmly underway with a stunningly good selection of motors. While not offering the number of lots that’s seemingly compulsory these days, what it lacked in numbers was compensated for by diversity.

The stunning-order Ford Sierra RS Cosworth was a star among performance Fords and auction watchers will be looking to see if any others offered this year come as close in terms of condition.

If an RS Ford wasn’t the choice of all SWVA’s punters, salvation came in the form of other motors, including the lovely Bristol 403, fabulously original Lancia Augusta Belna and the easy-on-thewallet DAF 33. All were stars in their own right, and they got SWVA off to a fine start. Its next sale is on 29 April.
