Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - Your Letters -

I seem to have had exactly the reverse experience of Ian Banks ( Letters, CCW 17 Jan). I too have a Triumph (a TR6) that was built in 1973, but not registered until 1975 – so like Ian, I sent off all the relevant information and Heritage certificate (a copy).

It all went through smoothly and the documents (including my copy Heritage certificate) came back 10 days later. I did, and still do, have one small concern – I was not given (nor wanted) a new registration, but I’m led to believe it’s illegal to have a newer registration on an older car. Another of the very many splendid ‘ways’ of the DVLA perhaps?
