1983 Ford Fiesta XR2
The first of the sporting Fiestas and, in many ways, the purest. Devoid of power steering, traction control and anti-lock brakes, it offers press-on, involving performance – more Mini Cooper than hot hatchback, in fact. This concourswinning, original XR2 has covered 32,000 miles from new and has been well cared for. Sold to an enthusiast who gave it occasional use and showed it at classic events, it’s a very rare find, which is enough to make that estimate not appear as strong as some might suggest.
