Check it’s the real deal, not a reshell. VIN plates should reveal this but there are other verifying marks.
Key areas to check for rot include the rear quarters, sills and screen surround. Repro panels are available but expensive.
Look for cracks in front chassis legs, just aft of the anti-roll bar mounts. These are serious, but often hidden by underseal.
Also check for evidence of accident damage, which can often be seen on inner panels that wouldn’t normally be disturbed.
