Car festival Coventry Motofest is to form an official partnership with Donington Park circuit that will see the two organisations working together to develop attractions.
The East Midlands circuit will bring a range of content from its 2016 events calendar and racer series – including the Donington Classsic – to run on the Motofest track during this year’s event on 3-5 June. For the first time, this will include motorcycles.
This new partnership will also see the two management teams working together on prize competitions and ticket promotions for events at Donington and Coventry during the Motofest weekend.
‘The new partnership will enable us to bring even more excitement to the streets of Coventry and deliver on one of our aims to open up motorsports to a new audience,’ says Motorfest’s festival director James Noble.
Bob Adams, Donington Park’s sporting director adds: ‘We share a vision – encouraging new fans and new participants into motorsport. Where better to do it than Coventry, the spiritual home of British motor manufacturing?’
Registration is now open for clubs wanting to display their cars, motorcycles and scooters at Motofest.
