Any 3.0-litre Capri

Classic Car Weekly (UK) - - News Analysis -

From Series I to Series III, the 3.0-litre is a rare beast, and even ones needing work will be snapped-up. Launched in late 1969, some months after the smaller-engined models, the 3.0-litre was what enthusiasts and the motoring weeklies were crying out for – a Capri with serious grunt. The earliest cars were all in GT trim, some with the cosmetic XLR pack, but the better-equipped 3000E soon followed on. In 1974 the Series II model was launched, and this was superseded by the Series III in 1978, which remained in production until 1981. Today the Series II is the rarest, but in Ghia trim it’s a highly desirable package.
