Track-prepared Jaguar E-types, Ford Capris and BMW 6-series are among the stars of a motorsportthemed flagship display at Belgium’s biggest classic show this weekend.
All the cars on the Belgian Racing Victories stand are linked to victories on the country’s race circuit.
‘This is going to be a spectacular addition to this year’s show,’ a spokesperson says. ‘Many of the cars that took part in the legendary duels on the circuits of Zolder and Francorchamps will be on the stand, so it’s one you won’t want to miss.’
It’s part of a revamped fourth hall at Antwerp’s Expo exhibition centre, which will allow more clubs to take part this year.
More than 350 exhibitors from 14 different countries are taking part this year, with upwards of 400 classics from across the Benelux countries – and from British, French and German dealers – for sale.
There’s also a big club presence at Antwerp. Among this year’s attendees are Belgium’s Golf GTI club, who’ll be marking the model’s 40th anniversary by displaying one of the very first MkIs, as well as the Hadi-Mazda Club, which will be coming across the border from the Netherlands to show off their members’ Japanese classics.
