A Panhard CD’s maiden appearance in Ireland and the chance to see the Ford Model T from the hit RTÉ series Rebellion are among the top draws at the Emerald Isle’s premier classic event when it returns this weekend.
Show organiser The Royal Irish Automobile Club says more than 250 classics will go on show at the halls of the Royal Dublin Society’s halls, with 40 of the country’s clubs confirmed to be bringing along displays to the biennial two-day event.
The Ferrari Club will be bringing along a 250GT SWB, while Dunboyne Motor Club will be showing off a Crossle 18F F2 car on its stand.
‘The National Irish Classic Car Show has become a must-see fixture for car enthusiasts and their families,’ says the show’s director, Bob Montgomery.
‘Every year that we run the show we try to ensure that visitors will get to see something that has never been on display in the country before. One of the cars this year – the Panhard CD – has a distinguished racing lineage and will be worth a visit to the show in its own right.‘
