I like to attend as many auctions as I can, and this week I managed to get to Morris Leslie’s sale in the East of Scotland. Those who’ve never made it to Errol, Perthshire are missing out, because here was a well-organised sale that is a model some longer-established companies would benefit from looking at. From the easilyaccessible location to good parking, plenty of places to grab something to eat to a first-class catalogue, the Leslie team has got it just about right. The sale halls were warm and spacious, and, most importantly, there was a great line-up of motors. Buyers and would-be buyers seemed happy too, and that’s surely what both the auctioneer and the sellers want to know. A Leslie classics auction is worth the trip from anywhere in the British isles.
