1982 BMW 320
This first-generation 3-series was sold new to a titled lady living in Scotland. The E21 model isn’t a common sight, and this biggerengined, but still pleasingly basic specification example was a treat, having covered 38,500 miles from new. Still in lovely order – a testament to BMW’s build quality, the body was spot-on, as was the paint. Coming with plenty of service history and a recent cambelt it wasn’t cheap, but the classic auction adage applied: Try finding another in this condition.
