Messing with the Peugeot 205’s suspension set-up is done at your peril. The defining characteristic of the French classic was a chassis that provided a mature ride quality with class leading grip and poise, beginning a new era of front-wheel drive excellence for the marque. V-Maxx claims to have kept this in mind when developing its new sport spring range, which covers models from the humble 954cc base specification to the legendary GTi and dTurbo variants. Although the company is known for its sports springs, direct OEM replacements also include the production techniques used on the high-end options. Two or three lowered heights are also offered depending on engine and bodystyle, with the GTi and its al fresco CTi stablemate benefitting from 30mm, 40mm or 55mm reductions. Progressive winding retains the ride and handling characteristics that so attract owners. V-Maxx Distributors +31 (0)493 440 153 (NL) www.v-maxx.co.uk
