Mess­ing with the Peu­geot 205’s sus­pen­sion set-up is done at your peril. The defin­ing char­ac­ter­is­tic of the French clas­sic was a chas­sis that pro­vided a ma­ture ride qual­ity with class lead­ing grip and poise, be­gin­ning a new era of front-wheel drive ex­cel­lence for the mar­que. V-Maxx claims to have kept this in mind when de­vel­op­ing its new sport spring range, which cov­ers mod­els from the hum­ble 954cc base spec­i­fi­ca­tion to the leg­endary GTi and dTurbo vari­ants. Al­though the com­pany is known for its sports springs, di­rect OEM re­place­ments also in­clude the pro­duc­tion tech­niques used on the high-end op­tions. Two or three low­ered heights are also of­fered de­pend­ing on en­gine and bodystyle, with the GTi and its al fresco CTi sta­ble­mate ben­e­fit­ting from 30mm, 40mm or 55mm re­duc­tions.
