1957 Land Rover 107in Station Wagon
Ideal for the Revival and other historic events where going with a few friends is part of the day, Silverstone’s lovely Series I station wagon was an unusual treat. Restored around a new chassis, the bodywork and paint were just right, the paint not being over-the-top shiny. The auctioneer said the 2.0-litre petrol engine was running well and while it wouldn’t be fast, occupants would have a good view. Like the outside, the interior was more than tidy, so looking after this example would be pretty easy. A usable classic that wasn’t too dear (Richard Hudson-Evans comments, right).
